Usual Mistakes Done During the Lemonade Diet

by Staff on July 19, 2010

The lemonade diet is one of the most effective food regimens today. In fact, it has shown excellent results that even celebrities use it in order to lose weight fast. However, most people who are in the diet say that the regimen doesn’t really work for them. The truth is that most people who are already in the diet often make mistakes that they think are inconsequential but is actually vital to the diet. For those who want to know what they are doing wrong or those who are just getting into the food regimen, here are some of the things to avoid so that you can get the results you want.

Cheating

Obviously, this is the first thing that would not make your lemonade diet work. I know by the third day, you might get this niggling urge for a soda or something sweet to drink, but don’t let it overcome you. For some people, the thought of 12 glasses of lemonade might be too much, but you don’t really have to drink them all the same time! Whenever you feel like you can’t take it anymore, wait it out and the feeling will pass. Just think about the benefits of the lemonade diet if you manage to do it successfully. Ten pounds loss plus a detoxified body, that’s definitely worth it.

Changing or Substituting the Ingredients

The lemonade diet is carefully formulated to detoxify as well as lose weight. Hence, changing the ingredients is not recommended. You see the combination of lemon; cayenne pepper and maple syrup supply just the amount of calories for the body to feel energized. This is why the lemonade diet doesn’t require you to eat any more solid foods. Everything you to function that day is contained in those 12 glasses of lemonade. Hence, if you try changing the ingredients, like substituting orange for lemons, then it just won’t work. The same goes for using non-organic materials for your mix. Keep it natural, grade B maple syrup, organic lemon and fresh cayenne pepper, nothing more, nothing less. Non-organic ingredient don’t usually have the right amount of calories and nutrients needed, therefore making the lemonade diet ineffective.

Not Getting Enough Glasses

The prescribed amount of glasses you should drink for the lemonade diet is around 12 glasses. No excuses. As mentioned above, the carefully formulated food regimen supplies just enough energy to get you through the day. If you prevent yourself from drinking one or two glasses, then you might have a problem getting through the day. Chances are once you start feeling tired, then you’ll break down and eat something solid.

Stopping at the Lemons

The lemonade diet doesn’t stop at mixing the ingredients and drinking them every day. You also have to take other things into consideration starting from your exercise routine. The lemonade diet supplies you with energy and you have to use it, otherwise it won’t work much. Learn to plan your activities daily. Bring your carefully formulated drinks to work, stop stocking your refrigerator with goodies to avoid temptation and do a bit of physical activity. The great thing about the lemonade diet is that although you may need exercise a bit, heavy exercises is not recommended. This is because you are not only losing weight, you are also detoxifying.

Making mistakes while on the lemonade diet is not a problem. However, once you start to be aware of these mistakes, then you should immediately take steps into fixing it. The fact is that the lemonade diet has been proven time and again by people who have followed the instructions strictly and patiently. By correcting your mistakes, the same can be said for you.
