Stages of Detoxification

Getting on a cleansing diet may be frustrating for most people, especially if you are not used to abstaining from eating solid foods. However, the benefits of this detoxifying process are definitely are definitely tangible after the ten day cleanse.

Most people actually stop diet after the first few days due to health issues that alarm them. However, what they don’t know is that some of the uncomfortable feelings that get during the detoxification process are normal. For a better understanding of the detoxifying process, here are some of the things you might expect in the course of ten days.

Days 1 to 2

During the first two days, you could choose between laxative tea or an organic salt sea flush. If you have a pretty strong stomach then choose the salt sea flush, otherwise just take the laxative tea. During these two days, it’s normal to feel hungry since you’re not really consuming any solid foods. It’s also normal to feel cramps in your stomach due to the laxatives you take in. Weakness is to be expected since the body is not getting the solid food it’s gotten used to. Headaches, dizziness are also possible results of the cleansing diet during the first two days as well as sore throat and a feverish feeling. If these are the exact reasons why you stopped taking the cleansing diet, then don’t worry. Those are only normal and should not prevent you from taking the diet all over again.

Days 3 to 7

The first thing you have to understand is that the diet cleanses the body by purging out all toxins and waste products. Hence, during the second stage of the detoxification, expect your body to purge out toxins; even if it does look or feel weird, it’s normal.

Days 8 to 10

On the last two days, the detoxification process is on its last stage. At the same time, the boils, pimples and other unsightly detoxification effects of the diet will start to fade. You should start feeling the positive effects of the master cleanse as well as see the significant weight loss.

Don’t try to lose more weight by extending your cleansing period to more than ten days. The diet has been carefully made to make sure that the body loses the toxins while keeping it at a healthy state. Hence, any additional days would have to be consulted first before proceeding.

After the ten days is up and we still want to lose more weight should we just go on a regular diet, since its not recommended to stay on the lemonade diet more then 10 days?

Hi Marlon, you can exercise but try to avoid strenuous exercises as you will lose excessive minerals through sweating.
