Ever since Stanley Burroughs brought the Master Cleanse Diet to life in 1941, a lot of people have changed their lifestyle and gained paramount results with it. It was their key to a healthier and fit body they always wanted. This diet was made even more popular by Peter Glickman who continues to encourage people to try it. So how does the master cleanse diet work? Can it really help you achieve your physical goals?

The Master Cleanse or Lemonade Diet, as Burroughs describes it, is a detoxification program that helps get rid of harmful toxins from the body, it also encourages weight loss which is great for obese people. The diet even claims to cure ulcer and various diseases. So, how true are these claims? Beyonce Knowles, Robbin Quivers and David Blaine are among the many to use this diet and they testify that it is, indeed, effective. And ever since the stars admitted to use it, the whole world went crazy over it.

The deal is to go through a minimum of 10 consecutive days with the diet and see the difference. Your digestive system will be purged of unwanted toxins and you will feel better than ever before. This diet also says to removes the craving for alcohol, tobacco and even drugs from your system. The great news for obese people is that it takes away the wanting of eating as well.

Ingredients for the Lemonade diet are as follows:

For every 10 oz glass of filtered water, you will need
2 tablespoons of organic lemons
2 tablespoons of organic grade B maple syrup (not the ones found on your breakfast table)
1/10 tablespoon of powdered cayenne pepper
Unrefined sea salt (depending on your taste)

Shake up all the ingredients together and consume 6-12 glasses of this in a day. Take note that you will drink only the lemonade recipe for the course of 10 days and nothing more. There will be no solid foods or any other food except the lemonade. The first few hours or days will be the most crucial. Your body is yet to change from its usual state. If you think you have been eating healthy, think again. You will be surprised at how unhealthy your body is as the diet kicks in.

One of the common mistakes that people make when doing this diet is the water they are using. Because it’s widely available, they simply take it for granted. It is important that we use untreated water, chlorine free and fluoride free. Only put fresh and pure water in your lemonade to ensure effectiveness.

Another thing to keep in mind when going through the ten days of this diet is having the greatest necessary discipline. You should follow the diet with flawlessness, no cheating, no skipping and no cutting around the corners. It is imperative that you perform it 100 percent to achieve the maximum benefits and avoid probably backfiring.

Applying the master cleanse diet will surely aid you in gaining the body you always dreamed of. So go to the nearest grocery store and give this a try, you will never regret doing this because it totally works!

If you drink plain water as well, should it also be distilled water?

Hi Vickie, distilled water is preferred to plain water for the lemonade diet.
